Itinerary
Meet your private guide at your accommodation and travel from Reykjavík to Þingvellir National Park.
Meet your certified snorkeling guide and prepare for your Silfra adventure. Snorkel through exceptionally clear glacial water in the fissure between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. All necessary snorkeling and safety equipment is provided.
Explore the national park after your snorkeling tour. Walk through the rift valley and discover the site where Iceland’s Alþingi parliament was established more than a thousand years ago.
Enjoy lunch inside Friðheimar’s geothermal greenhouse, surrounded by rows of tomato plants. The farm uses Iceland’s geothermal resources to grow tomatoes throughout the year.
Walk among steaming springs and geothermal features in Haukadalur and watch Strokkur erupt, typically sending hot water into the air every few minutes.
Continue to Gullfoss, where the Hvítá River drops in two stages into a deep canyon. Explore the viewpoints overlooking one of the Golden Circle’s best-known natural landmarks.
Relax on the drive back to Reykjavík after your day on the Golden Circle.
